Put Your Talents and/or Resources to Use

Here are some areas we could use volunteers:
*clean up park debris
*organizing fundraisers,
*helping to make contacts with others
*social networking,
*helping to set up speaking engagements,
*people who want to offer skilled help with building, paving, cutting down trees
*artists who like to work with wood, trees, and landscapes
*artists who like to work with concrete making pathways, benches, etc.

The park is owned by Saline County, however the county does not maintain the facilities. It is volunteer-based through the non-profit The Crossing at Angel Court Foundation. A "Friends of the Park" group has formed to assist with upkeep, as well as to help maintain and design new garden areas in the park.

Friends of the Park gather from 8-10 a.m. each Saturday morning under the direction of Norma Van Brunt. She says if those hours do not work with another volunteer’s schedule, she can work with a different time frame. “It’s not just a park. It is OUR park,” said Van Brunt. “I would like for it to look nice.”

She has been asking neighbors for plant donations, and would also appreciate any other donations, such as hostas, lilies, etc.
